PVM-1530 Pro + MeasureEffect training

Our practice-oriented online training for the PVM-1530 Pro PV tester and the related MeasureEffect cloud is structured in two stages. Between Stage I and Stage II, remote support accompanies your team during the practical phase with the first measurements in the solar park. The training covers measurement practice, typical errors, data management and reporting and enables your team to get started quickly and safely with hardware and software.

Training gives your team the required knowledge for the measuring instrument, software and concrete measurement workflows. For broader implementation within the company, however, that alone is often not enough. An assessment first clarifies how the measuring instrument, MeasureEffect, team structure, plant structure, data management and reporting fit into your existing O&M processes.

Operational Readiness builds on this: after the training, your team is not left alone, but can continue stabilising the measurement process, onboarding new employees, reviewing reports and refining workflows when needed. This turns product training into a resilient measurement and reporting process that works repeatably within the company.

  • For technicians and technical O&M owners
  • Online training with remote support during the practical phase
  • Optionally with report review during the first commissioning work

Description

What is the training about?

The training is designed for O&M teams that already use the Sonel PVM-1530 Pro or want to introduce it in the near future. The goal is not only to explain device functions, but to make practical field use safe, repeatable and ready for reporting.

Operation, measurement workflow, typical error sources, data structure and reporting are considered together. This turns a pure device introduction into a productive entry point for a standardised PV measurement process.

The training can be delivered as a standalone training or as part of a larger Measurement Rollout.

Process

How the training typically works

The process is intentionally designed so the training does not remain isolated, but makes concrete operational improvements visible.

1

Training (Stage I)

Practice-oriented online training with focus on operation, preparation and measurement practice. Participants receive a handout for later use in the field.

2

Practical phase

Remote support during the first measurement assignment to clarify field questions directly as they arise.

3

Training (Stage II)

Practice-oriented online training with focus on data management and reporting.

4

Optional report review

After the first real field measurements, open questions and report errors can be reviewed together.

Formats & entry point

Training as a standalone session or part of a rollout

Depending on the situation, the training can be compact, extended or delivered as part of a complete rollout.

Basic

Stage I

For teams that already own the PVM-1530 Pro and want to become safer in handling the device quickly.

Standard

Stage I + practical phase (2h) + Stage II

For teams that want to deepen open questions, error patterns and reporting topics after the first real measurements.

Pro

Stage I + practical phase (5h) + Stage II + report review

For companies that want to introduce device, software, data structure, training and reporting as one overall process.

Think device, software and workflow together

Training is often the entry point into a better measurement process

When it becomes visible during training that data structure, reporting or support is missing, this can lead to an Operational Review or Rollout.

Outcome

What participants take away from the training

The training is not only intended to transfer knowledge, but to create reusable working foundations.

Training materials

Structured summary of the most important content and workflows.

Checklists

Practical aids for preparation, execution and post-processing of measurements.

Typical errors

Overview of common operating and process errors in the field.

Reporting notes

Recommendations for clean handover of measurement data into reports.

Certificate of participation

Certificate for participants after completion of the training.

Next steps

Recommendation for follow-up, Operational Review or Rollout where useful.

Next steps after training

From training to a stable measurement process

During training it often becomes visible whether the team can already work safely or whether additional structure around measurement tasks, data workflow, reporting or ongoing support is useful. For this, sunparq uses the standard structure of Assessment, Rollout, Operational Readiness and Critical Support.

Assessment

Useful when the training shows that measurement tasks, data structure, reporting requirements or team roles should be classified more precisely.

Rollout

For teams that want to introduce PVM-1530 Pro, MeasureEffect, IRM-1, data structure and reporting into the operational measurement process in a structured way after the training.

Operational Readiness

For ongoing support after training or rollout: support, onboarding new technicians, report reviews, workflow adjustments and stabilisation of measurement operations.

Critical Support

For time-critical individual cases when unclear measurement results, software problems, data gaps or urgent reports need quick technical classification.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about PVM-1530 Pro training

The training connects the Sonel PVM-1530 Pro, IRM-1, MeasureEffect, measurement practice, data structure and reporting into an applicable workflow for solar park O&M.

Can the training be booked if we did not buy the device through sunparq?

Yes. The training is explicitly suitable for companies that already own the PVM-1530 Pro or are about to introduce it and want to train their team in a practice-oriented way.

What matters is not where the measuring instrument was purchased, but whether technicians, team leads and reporting owners can safely implement the entire measurement process.

Is the training delivered online?

Yes. Like all sunparq services, the PVM-1530 Pro training is delivered fully remote and online. This keeps the training cost-effective, saves travel time and conserves resources.

Practical relevance is still created because the training works with concrete measurement tasks, existing devices, real data structures and the actual requirements of the O&M team.

How is the training structured?

The training is structured in two stages. Stage I focuses on preparation, measuring instrument, IRM-1, measurement practice and field workflow. This is followed by a practical phase with remote support in which the team prepares or performs its first own measurements.

Stage II covers data management, MeasureEffect, evaluation, export, report structure and typical errors in the data and reporting process.

Is it only about device operation?

No. Device operation is only one part of the training. It also covers measurement preparation, safety and process questions, typical errors, IRM-1 use, MeasureEffect, data transfer, evaluation and reporting.

The goal is to turn product knowledge into a repeatable O&M workflow: prepare, perform, transfer and check measurements, then document them traceably.

What role does MeasureEffect play in the training?

MeasureEffect is a central part of the training because after field work, measurement data must be managed, evaluated, exported and transferred into reports in a structured way.

The focus is on understanding projects, measurement points, data transfer, Excel or CSV export and report logic so that results remain usable later in the O&M process.

Do participants receive a certificate?

Yes, a certificate of participation is issued. It documents participation and the content covered in the training.

The focus, however, is not the certificate alone, but the practical ability to prepare measurements with the PVM-1530 Pro repeatably, perform them correctly and document the results cleanly.

Can the training be part of a larger rollout?

Yes. The training can be one component of a complete rollout when PVM-1530 Pro, IRM-1, MeasureEffect, data structure and reporting should not only be explained but introduced as an operational measurement process.

If it is still unclear which measurement tasks, roles, data structure or reporting requirements apply, an assessment may be useful first. After training or rollout, Operational Readiness can help keep the measurement process stable during operation.

What happens after the training?

After the training, it can be checked whether the team can continue independently or whether a next step is useful. Depending on the starting point, Assessment, Rollout, Operational Readiness or Critical Support may be appropriate.

Typical follow-up questions are: Does the data structure work? Are the reports traceable? Are there new employees to onboard? Are recurring questions coming up in the field? Or are there time-critical measurement or reporting cases that need quick classification?
